If you’re in need of health care services in Harrison County, you won’t have to travel far. The Coast is served by seven major hospitals, two specialty hospitals and the Keesler Air Force Base Medical Center. These facilities offer a wide range of services including neurology, open-heart surgery, cancer diagnosis and treatment, and pediatrics/neonatal care. In addition, there are several special facilities for mental health services.
And, the medical service industry on the Mississippi Gulf Coast is still growing. Construction of new state-of-the-art facilities continues to take place, and the existing facilities continually make improvements to keep up-to-date. A 100,000 square foot wellness center is also being developed in the area that will add preventative options to the broad spectrum of health services available to the residents of Harrison County.
