The I-10 Technology Corridor is home to some of the biggest names in the aerospace industry, as well as advanced technology parks, business incubators, research facilities and a strong military presence with related training programs. Primary aerospace capabilities include composite technology, geospatial, propulsion and unmanned aerial vehicles.

Seemann Composites, Inc.,  United States Marine, Inc., Gulf Ship and Gulf Coast Shipyard Group are all located in the Gulfport’s Bernard Bayou Industrial District and specialize in the use of advanced materials.

Keesler Air Force Base, located in Biloxi, is the “Electronics Training Center of Excellence” for the World. Its 81st Training Wing is host to the Second Air Force and 403rd Wing (AF Reserve).

NASA’s  John C. Stennis Space Center, home of Lockheed Martin, Pratt & Whitney and Rolls-Royce, is located just west of Harrison County in Hancock County, is the largest rocket testing complex in America and is a center of geospatial technologies.

Northrop Grumman, VT Halter Marine, Rolls-Royce Naval Marine and Signal International, LLC are major shipbuilders in Pascagoula that are constructing a new generation of warships, some of them capable of carrying aircraft.

Northrop Grumman’s Unmanned Systems Center in Moss Point builds high-tech Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) including the Fire Scout and portions of the Global Hawk.

Michoud Assembly Facility, one of the largest manufacturing plants in the world, sits on 832 acres in eastern New Orleans and is home of the National Center for Advanced Manufacturing.

Airbus Engineering Center, ST Mobile Aerospace and Teledyne Continental Motors are located an hour east of Harrison County at Brookley industrial complex in Mobile.

Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility will become the company's first production site in America. The A320 Family jetliner final assembly line will be located an hour east of Harrison County in Mobile.

Highly Advanced Aerospace Research Facilities include the Center of Higher Learning, Enterprise for Innovative Geospatial Solutions, Joint Airborn Lidar Bathymetry Technical Center of Expertise, Engineering and Science Directorate – Science and Technology Division, and Engineering and Science Directorate – Propulsion Testing.

Technology Transfer and Business Incubators include The Innovation Center in Biloxi, Mississippi Enterprise for Technology (MsET), NASA Technology Transfer Office and Noetic Technologies
