Harrison County and the Mississippi Gulf Coast are served by a number of ports, including two deepwater ports.

- Located in Harrison County, is a bulk, break-bulk and container seaport, encompassing 184 acres and currently under expansion. Located one and a half hours from major shipping lanes and only seven miles south of U.S. Interstate 10.
- Port of Gulfport is undergoing a massive restoration and redevelopment project, referred to as the “Port of the Future.” $570 million has been allocated for initial development of the plans, designed by CH2M Hill.
